The problem is: just thinking about ideas, brain-storming, telling them to my circle of friends is not enough. Actually, it's demotivating.
I learned to avoid being busy doing nothing, by doing things, step by step. Sharing progress. Iterating. Carving something interesting out of the giant block of what if?-s.
First step is always hard, but the second is easier. And each following step gets easier as you go. You just need to start going at some point.
