Constructive pain

We are taught that pain is something to avoid, and that it’s generally something bad. I believe this belief is harmful and we need to have a different perspective on pain.

Let’s look at the pain as a signal that something is not right: either a physical pain, or a pain caused by emotions, fatigue, frustration. It’s clearly a sign that current situation is lacking and serves as an opportunity to stop, take a step back, and reflect.

It’s especially important with non-physical pain. It’s easy to ignore, until the pain becomes unbearable and causes a crisis.

When you feel pain, you should take a break and reflect on it. It’s the best opportunity to change. I believe it’s the constructive approach to pain, too!
