Avoid complacency

There is nothing worse than a complacent team. We are great, we truly are, we do everything right.

Innovation, creativity, the sense of adventure dies the minute you let your ego take over and become complacent. Because progress never stops.

What works today, might not work tomorrow. Somebody could come up with a better idea: your unsatisfied colleague, the success-hungry competitor.

In order to keep you innovating, ideating, keeping your competitive edge, you need to be happy, but never satisfied.

There's always something more to do, even if you're happy with temporary status quo. Just don't ever let yourself be complacent.
